Teresa Jiseung Kang
Pianist
Celebrated for her insightful and soulful sound, pianist Teresa Kang has performed around the world. Kang has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York as part of the American Protégé Winner’s Recital. She was twice chosen to play during the Lunchtime Recital at the Piano Festival in Bishopsgate Recital Hall in London. In addition, she has given numerous performances in Seoul, South Korea, and is proud to have performed at Chicago’s Green Mill as a part of the Emerging Artist Series.
In 1998, she premiered the piece “Six Moods for Piano” at the request of composer Seth Boustead. Other notable work includes a performance at the Ravinia Festival with Ruth Page Dance Company as well as performances with the Urbana-Champaign Symphony Orchestra, the Lakeview Orchestra, and the Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra.
