Kat Dalin

Contralto

Katherine Dalin, contralto, is a versatile performer based in Chicago, performing everything from opera to musical theatre to straight theatre to cabaret. Favorite roles include Zita in Gianni Schicchi, Cecilia March in Little Women (opera), Sara Jane Moore in Assassins and Maria in Twelfth Night. She has appeared onstage with local and regional opera and theatre companies including: Music Theatre Works, Trangressive Theatre-Opera, Petite Opera, Fury Theatre, Chicago Vocal Arts Consortium, Gorilla Tango Theatre Originals, Savoyaires, On the Spot Theatre, Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, Sugar Creek Symphony and Song, Verismo Opera Theatre, SouthEast Wisconsin Performing Arts, Elgin Opera, Dupage Opera Theatre, Da Corneto Opera, and Florentine Opera. Cabaret style performances include Davenport's Piano Bar and Side Street Studio Arts, The Drifter, Kiss Kiss Cabaret, White Cat Cabaret and Opera on Tap. When not onstage, she moonlights as a voice/piano teacher, costumer, director and music director, with a special gift for youth theatre.
